Giveaway: $100 JCPenney Gift Card
We usually don’t chat about wedding registries very often since our role as a planner has little to do with what china pattern you pick out. However, we occasionally receive feedback from our brides about their registry experiences and always hear good things about JCPenney’s registry.
JCPenney is literally a one-stop-shop for a ton of wedding-related tasks. Not only can you register for your future lives together, you can also purchase your wedding bands, have engagement portraits taken, get your hair, makeup, and nails done, and purchase luggage for the honeymoon. Registry customers get expert planning advice on jcp.com, a complimentary keepsake wedding organizer, and a special gown preservation package that’s less than $100! You can return anything from your registry with no hassles up to 90 days after the wedding. What other gift registry offers all that?
For our blog readers, Wish is giving away one $100 gift card for JCPenney! Here’s the rules:
- Leave us a comment telling us about your dream registry item. What do you want that you think nobody will buy?
- Comment by Monday, April 20th at 5:00pm EST
- The winner will be announced here on the blog on Tuesday morning!
- Be sure you include your email address so we can get in touch with you
Just think of what you could do with an unexpected $100! Good luck!

I don’t know if this counts as an “item,” but my dream registry would add our china back on. We ended up taking it off, because we felt guilty about asking for expensive china in this economy, so that’s definitely what I wish we could get, but know we won’t…

One of my favorite traditions is making a big breakfast on lazy Saturday mornings. A Belgium waffle maker would be wonderful for this, but it feels so frivolous. I already have a regular waffle maker! I guess that is the beauty of having a registry.

Hmmm, tough question. We didn’t put a lot of big ticket items on our registry. We probably won’t get the $400 PlayStation 3, but I for one won’t be devestated about that. (E talked me into it for its BlueRay feature. Yes, I know.) I would have liked to have registered for a Bose sound system, but decided that would be too extravagant, so it really is a “dream” item. Right now, though, I’d be ecstatic to get a nice duvet cover, but that can’t happen ’til E and I agree on one. Sigh.

I would choose Fiestaware items – I’ve been dreaming of them since I was a little girl, but since they are so expensive, I feel bad asking for them.

We really want a nice camera. Neither of us had a camera for the first 6 months we dated so now that we’re planning a wedding we realize there are no pictures of us from when we fell in love or when we moved in together or when we picked out our first christmas tree. I keep seeing on wedding blogs people making great guest books on blurb with pictures and tickets and things from when they were dating and we don’t have any of that. We’ve promised eachother we’ll start better documenting our life together so our future kids can see proof we actually existed! A think a camera is a good first step!

I think no one would ever buy us an elliptical and we really need one! The gym is so far away from us and who can afford a gym membership in this economy anyways?

We definitely need a new mattress – something above what most people would give as a single gift, but something that $100 could be helpful in getting.

I want more of the Calphalon nonstick pans I have. I have two frying pans by then that I use for everything. I would love a bigger one to make chili in!
